Shiatsu

Shiatsu symbolShiatsu is Japanese bodywork which is deeply seated in the philosophy and practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Shiatsu uses a combination of relaxing pressure on the body, acupressure points and gentle joint manipulation to promote the free-flow of Chi (energy) around the body. It is received fully clothed, whilst lying on a futon mattress on the floor.

I have benefitted greatly from having treatments from Sally with both table top massage and Shiatsu.

Over the last few years I have suffered from various physical and emotional pain. Sally's calm and confident manner helps her use her professional skills in reducing stress and getting to the central problem causing my physical pain.

My back, shoulders and neck all feel a lot better with less spasm occurring, and I do not get as much dizziness as I did.

For me, the release of emotional tension has been an added bonus. Sally's knowledge of meridian lines and chi has helped me focus on areas in my life where I have felt completely stuck. To know I have a stagnant liver chi has helped me understand where my emotional block is and how to deal with it.
